Anne of Green Gables
Published in 1908, Lucy Maud Montgomery was inspired by notes she had made as a young girl as well as her own childhood experiences in rural Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Adapted for the stage by Katelyn Ericson (director)
Set in the late 19th century, an 11 year old orphan girl Anne Shirley was mistakenly sent to two middle-aged siblings, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, who had intended to adopt a boy to help them on the farm. The music follows along with Anne’s many adventures as she attempts to win over the hearts of the Cuthbert’s, her classmates, and the people of Avonlea.
